F.O.A.D. Records proudly announces the simultaneous release of two massive archival chapters dedicated to one of Los Angeles’ most influential and uncompromising grindcore institutions: NAUSEA. Together, these releases form a comprehensive document of the band’s non-album history, spanning their earliest years through their later, more experimental and industrial-tinged phase, finally bringing their complete underground legacy into a unified and meticulously curated format.
NAUSEA – “World Struggle: Extended Edition”
Gatefold 2xLP + Bonus 7″ / Double CD Digipack
This expanded and upgraded edition is a deep dive into NAUSEA’s formative years from 1987 to 1992, presenting the most complete and definitive collection of the band’s early recordings to date. With over one hour of additional material compared to the previous 2013 edition, “World Struggle: Extended Edition” stands as a brutal historical document of Los Angeles grindcore at its most raw and influential.
This era captures the band’s lethal mix of old-school grindcore, crust punk ferocity, and early death metal heaviness, with unmistakable ties to TERRORIZER’s legendary “World Downfall”. In fact, a significant portion of the material that would later define that classic album originated in NAUSEA, the previous and current band of vocalist Oscar Garcia.
This collection includes:
The cult split tape with TERRORIZER (1988)
“Psychological Conflict” EP (1990)
The ultra-rare “Mind Dead” demo (1990)
“Tumor” demo (1992)
“Breed” demo (1992)
Various rehearsals from 1987–1990
The “Live Crime” tape (1991)
Spanning an overwhelming 49 tracks, this is corrosive, doomy, death metal-tinged grindcore, driven by whirlwind blast beats and the crushing, mosh-heavy riffs that helped define an entire generation of extreme music.
The vinyl edition comes as a gatefold 2xLP with a bonus 7”, featuring two rare 1987 rehearsal tracks, along with completely revamped artwork and a 16-page booklet filled with vintage flyers and fanzine excerpts. The LP version is limited to 300 copies, with 250 on black vinyl and 150 on marbled cobalt blue/grey vinyl.
The double CD edition is presented in a 6-panel deluxe digipack with a 16-page booklet.

NAUSEA – “Exile to Confinement: The Forgotten Demo Years Collection”
Gatefold 2xLP / Double CD Digipack
This release represents Chapter #2 in F.O.A.D.’s mission to reissue NAUSEA’s entire non-album discography, serving as the perfect counterpart to the earlier-era anthology. Covering the years 1998 to 2006, “Exile to Confinement: The Forgotten Demo Years Collection” gathers all of the band’s later recordings, capturing a period where their sound evolved beyond classic grindcore into darker, more abrasive and industrial-infused territory.
The collection includes the following sessions:
“One Lie” (unreleased demo, 1998)
“Self Rejection” demo
Studio rehearsal (January 13, 2002)
“Control” / “Absence of War” demos (2002)
Split 7″ with UNHOLY GRAVE
“Who Would Surrender?” demo (2003)
“Images of Abuse” demo (2006)
Across 27 tracks, the anthology showcases a volatile blend of classic LA grindcore roots, crust punk hostility, death metal weight, and a distinct industrial grind edge that set this era of NAUSEA apart from their peers.
The vinyl edition comes as a deluxe gatefold 2xLP with a foldout 11”x22” insert featuring scans of the original demo artwork and releases. The LP version is limited to 300 copies, with 250 on black vinyl and 150 on marbled yellow/red vinyl.
The double CD edition is housed in a 6-panel deluxe digipack and includes a 12-page booklet packed with archival material.
Icelandic heavy metal force POWER PALADIN have unveiled a brand-new lyric video for their latest single “Glade Lords Of Athel Loren.” Following the recent release of their first album teaser single “Sword Vigor,” the band now delivers another powerful taste of what’s to come.
The song is taken from POWER PALADIN’s highly anticipated new album Beyond The Reach Of Enchantment, set for release on March 27 via ROAR – A Division of Reigning Phoenix Music, andsees the band embracing classic heavy metal and epic power metal influences, fueled by dynamic riffs, melodic leads and a commanding, larger-than-life atmosphere.
Guitarist and songwriter Atli Guðlaugsson comments: “Glade Lords of Athel Loren is a roaring power metal anthem that chronicles the exploits of the Lords of Laurelorn and their heroic struggle to extinguish the masters of rock and iron.”
With their new offering Beyond The Reach Of Enchantment, POWER PALADIN take the next step in their musical journey. The album features eight epic tracks, each unfolding like a chapter in a sweeping saga of power, mystery and adventure.
Building on the success of their debut With the Magic of Windfyre Steel, the band delivers a more mature and refined sound while fully retaining the energy and spirit that defined their early days. The album was mixed by Haukur Hannes (AUÐN, DYNFARI) and mastered by Frank de Jong (BLEEDING GODS), resulting in a production that is both powerful and crystal clear.
Once again, POWER PALADIN pay homage to their influences – IRON MAIDEN, DIO and HELLOWEEN – while confidently carving out their own place in the modern power metal landscape. The album artwork, created by James Child (Astral Clock Tower Studios), perfectly captures the adventurous and fantastical essence of the record, that promises to be a bold and immersive next chapter for POWER PALADIN!
Formed in Iceland, POWER PALADIN emerged from a shared passion for classic heavy metal, soaring melodies and fantasy-driven storytelling. Since their inception, the band has blended the spirit of traditional power metal with the raw edge of NWOBHM influences, forging a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh.
Their debut album With the Magic of Windfyre Steel quickly established POWER PALADIN as a rising force in the international power metal scene. With Beyond The Reach Of Enchantment, the band further expands their musical and lyrical universe, proving their dedication to epic songwriting, strong hooks and timeless metal values.
POWER PALADIN is: Atli Guðlaugsson (vocals) Bjarni Þór Jóhannsson (guitars) Ingi Þórisson (guitars) Einar Karl Júlíusson (drums) Bjarni Egill Ögmundsson (keyboards) Kristleifur Þorsteinsson (bass)
In September 2025, Tilburg in the Netherlands was once again transformed into Ayreon City, as six spectacular shows took over the 013 venue— or what is fast becoming known as “Home” by Ayreonauts around the world.
All 15,000 tickets were snapped up within minutes, with fans traveling from an astonishing 71 countries to witness the latest Ayreon live experience: the 30th Anniversary – An Amazing Flight Through Time. This will now be released on 22 May via Music Theories Recordings/Artone.
For one unforgettable week, Tilburg lived and breathed Ayreon. The city center became a playground of Ayreon beer and themed dinners, streets flying Ayreon flags, Ayreon Camping, Ayreon Karaoke and legions of fans filling the city sporting Ayreon T-shirts from every era. Among the week’s highlights was the return of a now-cherished fan tradition: the Ayreon cinema quiz. Back for its third edition, Lucassen and van den Broek once again reinvented themselves as gloriously cheesy quizmasters turning the quiz into a show in its own right.
On stage, the setlist spanned three decades of Ayreon history—from beloved fan favorites to songs never performed live before, with highlights from Arjen Lucassen’s many side projects woven seamlessly into the experience.
The performance included songs from; Into the Electric Castle (Amazing Flight, Valley of the Queens, Castle Hall), The Final Experiment (Dreamtime, Sail Away to Avalon),The Theory of Everything (The Theory of Everything, Lighthouse), Universal Migrator (House on Mars, Dragon on the Sea, Carried by the Wind, First Man on Earth, Dawn of a Million Souls, Into the Black Hole), The Source (Everybody Dies), plus gems from Star One (Set Your Controls, Year of ‘41) and so many more.
The first song release from the spectacle is ‘Loser’ – originally from the 2004 album The Human Equation. “I’m extremely proud to share the first full live video from the upcoming Ayreon 30th Anniversary release!” says Lucassen, “I chose ‘Loser’ because it’s not just a personal favorite of mine, but a massive highlight for the fans. The moment Jeroen Goossens plays those iconic opening notes on the didgeridoo, the energy in the room explodes. This performance truly captures the magic of the night: Mike Mills delivers an incredibly charismatic lead, Joost van den Broek tears through a wild Hammond solo, and Ed Warby provides his signature virtuoso drumming. My absolute favorite part, however, is when Mike lets the crowd take over the first verse—hearing the audience roar “Loser!” back at the stage is pure goosebumps.”
Talking about the show Arjen Lucassen says, “Bringing Ayreon’s 30th anniversary to life with ‘An Amazing Flight Through Time’ was a dream come true. From the six sold-out 013 shows, uniting 15,000 fans from 71 countries, to turning Tilburg into ‘Ayreon City,’ it was an epic, immersive journey across three decades of music, including ‘deep cuts’ and tracks from side projects I never thought we’d play live. The grand production, the massive cast, the hard-hitting visuals—it was a truly unforgettable experience I’m incredibly proud of.”
The event marked 30 years since the release of Ayreon’s debut album, The Final Experiment (1995). This massive, state-of-the-art production involved over 100 cast and crew members, featuring a one-of-a-kind stage design, stunning visuals, and spectacular special effects that elevated the show beyond a concert into a true theatrical happening.
Ayreon Mastermind Arjen Lucassen, alongside lead producer and keyboardist Joost van den Broek, assembled a remarkable cast of many fan-favorite Ayreon vocalists that includes; Tommy Karevik (Kamelot), Anneke van Giersbergen, Dino Jelusick (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Whitesnake), Maggy Luyten, Heather Findlay, Marcela Bovio, Irene Jansen, Wudstik, Damian Wilson (Arena), Robert Soeterboek, Mike Mills (Toehider) as well as Lucassen himself.
The album also features the musical majesty of Joost van den Broek ( Keyboards), Ed Warby (Drums), Johan van Stratum (Bass), Timo Somers (Guitar), Ferry Duijsens (Electric and Acoustic Guitar), Ben Mathot (Violin), Jeroen Goossens (Flute) and Jurriaan Westerveld (Cello).
Ayreon’s 30th anniversary celebration in Tilburg was a unique moment in time—etched forever into the hearts and minds of those who experienced it live. With this upcoming release, the wider world will finally have the chance to step into the Ayreon Universe and experience the magic from the comfort of one’s own home.
Welcome aboard Ayreon’s amazing flight through time!
JeGong, the collaborative force of Dahm Majuri Cipolla (MONO) and Reto Mäder (SUM OF R.), have dropped the third single from their upcoming bold and genre-sculpting new album Gomi Kuzu Can (due 27th February via Pelagic Records).
The band comment: “With ‘What Ever Happened To Gene’, we wanted to show that our music isn’t only driven by propulsive rhythms, but also leaves room for emotional spaciousness. The glowing harmonies and gently ascending melodies tap into a sense of nostalgia without becoming sentimental – that balance was important to us.”
In ‘What Ever Happened To Gene’, JeGong use their third single to lean into a sense of narrative mystery in this vocal-led track. A tale told through wistful melodic motifs that seem to search for something just out of reach.
Known for their immersive, rhythm-driven explorations of krautrock and experimental sound design, JeGong now take an exhilarating leap into brighter, nostalgically stranger territory.
Gomi Kuzu Can is an electrifying journey through kraut, post- and experimental rock, delivered with the analogue warmth of the ’70s.
Across eleven meticulously crafted tracks, JeGong embrace their roots while fearlessly expanding into neon-lit, beat-driven worlds where kinetic rhythms meet playful sonic futurism. It is music built for movement, contemplation, and the ecstatic strangeness of possibility. Their approach borrows the endurance and patience of minimalism, but they subvert minimalism’s austerity with grit, distortion, and physicality. The result is music that feels alive in motion: constantly shifting, tightening, unfurling, and mutating even when its core pulse remains unbroken.
At the centre is the duo’s uncanny rhythmic intuition: drums that pulse with krautrock steadiness, bass lines that swing between monolithic foundation and crude melodic insistence. Together, these elements create a sonic environment that feels both mechanical and deeply human, ritualistic yet instinctual.
One of the album’s most striking achievements is its analogue warmth. In an era dominated by pristine digital surfaces, JeGong embrace imperfection: human element in every beat and modulation. Gomi Kuzu Can, is hand-built, lovingly assembled from circuitry, intuition, and raw creative impulse. This tactile quality is precisely what makes the album’s danceability so impactful. In blending organic rhythm with retro-electronic brightness, they’ve created a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly new.
