Says band founder and leader AlJourgensen of the track, “All traditional faiths seem to pale in comparison to our new ‘Deity’ Media.”
Over the course of the album’s nine tracks, Jourgensen is righteously cantankerous as ever about a f***ed up world ripe for a boot up its ass. Like always, he’s merely looking around at the same dumpster fire we all are, but he’s got a microphone and uses it well to rage on about the state of the world.
Joined by Ministry’s current frontline of musicians – John Bechdel (keyboards), Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto (guitars), Roy Mayorga (drums) and Paul D’Amour (bass) – HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES also has a slew of special guest contributors including Gogol Bordello’s Eugene Hutz, long-time collaborator and LARD companion Jello Biafra and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY frontman Pepper Keenan.
HOPIUMFORTHEMASSES is now available in three vinyl variants, a CD jewelcase and via digital/streaming platforms. The vinyl variants include: green with yellow splatter (in stores everywhere); blue with pink splatter (nuclear blast exclusive); red with white splatter (band/tour exclusive).
Former Type O Negative/ Danzig drummer Johnny Kelly and guitarist riff writer Dan Lorenzo formed PATRIARCHS IN BLACK at the end of 2021. The project included well known guests on vocals and bass including Karl Agell ( COC Blind/Lie Heavy) , Jimmy Gnecco, Dewey Bragg ( Kill Devil Hill/Bill Ward) among others. Their debut single “Demon of Regret” came out January 2022 and the full album “Reach For The Scars” was released July 1st 2022. Their 2nd album “My Veneration” was October 6th 2023 with multiple guest vocalists and bassists.
For the forthcoming 3rd studio album Dan Lorenzo has already written ten new songs. As always; Johnny Kelly on drums and lots of amazing singers and bassists will contribute. “It’s SO fun and not putting too much pressure on singers to come up with one or two amazing lyrics and melodies a year. I write a LOT of riffs/music.Our third album came together very easily. FUN FUN FUN”, says Dan.
One year ago, cosmic pioneers Enslaved releasedtheir latest avant-garde creation Heimdal. To celebrate the studio album’s first year of existence, the bandannounced the Heimdal (Deluxe) digital album, which is out today! As well as a UK and European tour with British post-hardcore quartet Svalbard and US metallers Wayfarer this month.
Also today, Enslaved are thrilled to announce that internationally acclaimed composer and virtuoso cellist Jo Quail makes a special appearance at the first show of the tour, today, on March 6th at London’s Islington Assembly Hall.
To celebrate this news, Enslaved have released an electrifying alternative version of their track ‘Congelia‘, featuring Jo Quail, alongside a beautiful lyric video created by Kolibri Media.
Guitarist Ivar Bjørnson commented, “London has a very special place in the history of our band, since the very first live shows we ever did outside of our home town(s) – the city has supported us through it all. We have a huge part of our extended family and tribe here; it is always like coming home. Just with better Indian food and worse traffic. Heimdal (Deluxe) includes the studio album in full, as well as alternative versions of two album tracks ‘Forest Dweller‘ and ‘Congelia‘, both with sublime performances from renowned cellist Jo Quail, bonus track ‘Gangandi‘, plus the entirety of ‘The Otherworldly Big Band Experience‘ – Enslaved‘s stunning 2022 streaming event featuring fellow psychedelic Norwegian prog band Shaman Elephant.
Enslaved will be touring the UK and Europe this month. The 16-date run will take the band across 10 different countries, with support coming from Svalbard and Wayfarer.

Paraline (alternative rock) are back with a new music video entitled “Hyperdynamic“. This is the third music video from their new EP album Sound Weapon which was recently released on March 1, 2024 via Eclipse Records. The music video was directed by Leo Andersen, and the album was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Paraline.
“Hyperdynamic” is a strong and balanced track, an uncompromisingly powerful wall of sound.” says lead vocalist Leo Andresen. “This song encompasses all the strong aspects of our sound at the moment, serving as both a personal manifesto and a guide to our philosophy on life. For many of our close friends, this song is a cherished favorite and it was important for us to celebrate it with a music video. It was a challenging task – to visually reinforce and even amplify the song’s dynamics, so I’ll let you be the judge if we managed to achieve this.”
Lead guitarist Kirill Langley continues, “We always push ourselves to the limit. We try to do something interesting and unusual, something no one has ever done before, and something that we will be proud of years from now. We greatly appreciate the people who love our music, and we give it our all to surprise and impress them. We want listeners to have a great time with Paraline and experience real emotions! In that sense, “Hyperdynamic” stands as a captivating piece of work. Bassist Alex Shustoff adds, “Each music video we make becomes increasingly difficult, and the filming of ‘Hyperdynamic’ was exceptionally demanding. Like any other creative endeavor, it was a voluminous and multi-layered process: preparation, execution, walking a path that neither you nor any of your acquaintances have walked before. At the same time, it is a very fulfilling process. You have to figure everything out, become an engineer, a pyrotechnician, or a stunt performer in one day with no chance for mistakes. Such challenging tasks and stress really develop you, and you learn something new every time and become morally and physically stronger…or you break, there’s no other option. You rarely think about this as a viewer, but now I’m on the other side of the curtain, and I can say that not everyone can handle it. But when you see the result, these songs and these videos – it’s incredibly cool. I can’t wait to perform this live now!”
