It was announced back in August that FIREWIND will be playing some very special Anniversary shows at the end of 2012 in their native Greece. Guitarist/founder Gus G. commented:
“2012 is the 10th year of FIREWIND in discography. To celebrate this, we will end our touring activities this year with some very special and intimate shows in Greece and more specifically with two shows in Athens and two shows in Thessaloniki. We plan to play different setlists each night and perform several songs of ours we’ve never done live before.”

Greek melodic Metallers FIREWIND are wrapping up their successful “Few Against Many” European/UK tour together with Leaves’ Eyes this weekend with shows in Zwolle (The Netherlands) and Vosselaar (Belgium). In the meantime FIREWIND have already started to announce the next string of live activities in support of their acclaimed current album “Few Against Many” for 2013, which includes a first-ever visit of Australia in April, the Full Metal Cruise event in May as well as an appearance at UK’s Bloodstock Open Air in August. “Few Against Many”, was mixed by Jason Suecof & Eyal Levi at Audiohammer Studios (Trivium, All That Remains, Death Angel, etc.) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Mastodon, Hatebreed, Symphony X, etc.). The iconic album’s artwork was once again created by FIREWIND’s longtime partner in all design matters, Gustavo Sazes / www.abstrata.net (Arch Enemy, Angra, Dream Evil, etc.). While the album’s standard version is available in the CD format as well as LP and also as Digital Download, “Few Against Many” is also released as limited edition Digipak CD with two bonus tracks. “Few Against Many” has recently climbed up the national sales charts in Greece to occupy the # 1 top spot for several weeks!

FIREWIND‘s new album “Few Against Many”, entered the official chart in Greece at No. 42 and in Germany at No. 90. Released in Europe on May 21 via Century Media Records and in North America on May 22 through DisManic, Inc. via eOne Distribution, the CD was mixed by Jason Suecof and Eyal Levi at Audiohammer Studios (TRIVIUM, ALL THAT REMAINS, DEATH ANGEL) in Sanford, Florida.
Produced by Gus, “Few Against Many” was recorded with his longtime bandmates, vocalist Apollo Papathanasio, keyboardist/guitarist Bob Katsionis and bassist Petros Christo, at Valve Studio in Greece as well as the Sweetspot Studios in Sweden and sees the band expanding on its signature melodic sound with some of its most aggressive songs to date. The CD also marks the recording debut of new FIREWIND drummer Johan Nunez (NIGHTRAGE).
