OBITUARY Announce North American Headline Tour

Death metal legends OBITUARY have announced an early Summer North American headline tour with support from Pallbearer, Skeletonwitch and Dust Bolt. The tour begins May 2nd in Atlanta, GA and ends June 3rd in Miami, FL. A full list of confirmed tour dates is available below (see the flyer).

OBITUARY comments on the tour:

“We are stoked about our North American tour and super excited to be back at the headlining spot. We have been very fortunate to be a part of some killer tours for our last few US/Canada runs as support to Carcass, Cannibal Corpse and Kreator but that came with limits on time and production value. Now it’s time to bust out the Big Guns, dig deep into our musical pockets and pull out some oldies but goodies!!

With 10 studio albums and over 100 songs in our catalog these days, it’s never easy choosing a set list and always causes some serious discussions and arguments amongst the band members so we are turning to the fans on this one. We want to hear from YOU what songs we should play and since everyone has their favorites we are really looking forward to hearing what you guys think. This should be fun, entertaining and interesting so make sure to comment on our social media pages with your top picks……Ready. Set. GO!!!!!!!!”

Additionally, OBITUARY will embark on a month-long Spring 2018 European headlining tour in March. The tour begins March 3 in Cologne, DE and ends April 1 in Schijndel, NL at Paaspop Festival.

Ohio blackened metal outfit SKELETONWITCH are back with a “cold blast of icy, melodic black metal fury” (Noisey), as they have debuted “Well of Despair”, on Prosthetic Records, their first recording featuring new vocalist Adam Clemans (Wolvhammer). Having premiered yesterday via Sirius XM Liquid Metal with Jose Mangin, the song can now be streamed via the below video, which features live footage filmed by Josh Sisk during the band’s recent recording sessions at Baltimore’s Developing Nations with Kevin Bernsten (Noisem, Magrudergrind, Mutilation Rites).

Although “Well of Despair” will be available starting Friday on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon MP3, the song is AVAILABLE NOW for streaming and purchase on Bandcamp, HERE, along with an exclusive t-shirt (limited to 100 only!)

ABBATH To Headline The 2016 Decibel Magazine Tour

ABBATH, the band formed by Norway’s iconic black metal frontman Abbath Doom Occulta (formerly of IMMORTAL), have announced their first-ever North American tour as headliner of the 2016 edition of the Decibel Magazine Tour. The trek begins on Mar. 17 in Baltimore, MD, and sees them joined by HIGH ON FIRE, SKELETONWITCH and TRIBULATION. A full list of confirmed tour dates can be found below, and regional openers in select cities will be announced soon.

The Decibel Magazine Tour has an impressive history of bringing extreme metal’s most notorious global icons to the stage, boasting headliners such as CANNIBAL CORPSE, CARCASS, and AT THE GATES. This year, ABBATH will join that storied legacy to perform songs from not only IMMORTAL’s fabled back catalog, but brand new music from their self-titled debut (coming Jan. 22nd, 2016). Presented by Randall Amplifiers, ESP Guitars, IndieMerchstore.com, Season of Mist, eOne, Century Media and Prosthetic, the 2016 Decibel Magazine Tour will treat North American audiences to 23 grim and frostbitten dates, boasting a rich array of metal’s most riotous voices.

ABBATH recently announced they will release a new 7″ single on Season of Mist this December 11th. The 7″ features a new track, titled “Count the Dead”, as well as a cover of the JUDAS PRIEST track “Riding on the Wind”.

‘Count the Dead’ is available in two different color variations, limited to 500 copies of black vinyl, and 500 copies of clear vinyl with black splatter. The “Count the Dead’ 7” can be pre-ordered at the Season of Mist E-Shop.

To celebrate and commemorate the release of ABBATH’s forthcoming debut album, the band have scheduled their album launch show in London on January 23. The band comments: “With every great release, there is a party to go with it – and this album is no exception. As such, the London show that was scheduled for September is now moving to Saturday 23rd of January 2016. All tickets remain valid. PRIMORDIAL and CONAN will still be coming along for the ride, alongside Metal Hammer UK DJ’s, and more.”

The band also decently announced their first ever European tour. The tour, kicking off on January 29, sees the band travel through Europe alongside BEHEMOTH, INQUISITION, and EN TOMBED A.D. A full list of confirmed dates can be found below.

Louisiana’s finest, GOATWHORE, are returning to Europe in April of 2015 as direct support to the SKELETONWITCH European tour, issues Metal Blade Records. Mortals will be opening up for both bands.
